PLAY to WIN!

Focus, Engagement,Play!

Step to the line with confidence!

Tugging is fun and may be desirable but it is not the only form of play.

              PLAY is ESSENTIAL.

              PLAY IS NON-NEGOTIABLE

              PLAY TO GET FOCUS!

              PLAY TO WIN!

I can’t play with my dog because

He doesn’t like to play. He will only play at home. He gets too aroused. He can’t think. It stops him from concentrating. It’s just too distracting!

If you have ever had any of these thoughts but are still struggling to get focus in exciting situations, come along and join us for this fun and informative two-part workshop where we will explore:

Part 1:

  1. The importance of play for focus and relationship building.
  2. Different kinds of play
  • Chase
  • Wrestle
  • Retrieve
  • Tug
  1. Teaching the rules of play.
  2. Incorporating play into life / training.
  3. Finding an off switch.

This section of the seminar is mandatory. We will explore how play with your dogs, why it is important and how use it to develop exclusive focus in our working relationships.

Part 2: Let’s Tug!

This part of the seminar is optional for those of you who would like to focus specifically on getting good tug play and brilliant self control around toys and exciting things!

 We will look at:

  • Encouraging reluctant tuggers.
  • Teaching the release of the toy.
  • Using tug to get the amazing focus and controlled arousal that you need for your sport.
